FORTUNE PRESCHOOL NEWSLETTER

Week of 2/6/23 - 2/10/23

Weekly Overview:

Last week we had a couple of new scholars join in on the Preschool fun. We have been working hard, learning to walk through hallways and walking in a line. We are learning to play alongside people our age and how to communicate our wants and needs in an effective manner. The class, as a whole, has shown an interest in different mediums of art. While some scholars have been interested in painting others, have been sorting and creating items with beads. Ms. Kaur & Ms. Courtny are so proud of you!!!

IMPORTANT:

Please remember to send your scholars with a water bottle and extra clothes!!!! Also if you have not sent two photos of your scholars please do so at your earliest convenience, this is to create a comforting and home-like environment for your scholar.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH:

This month we are celebrating the achievements and triumphs of Black and African American people. Taking time to honor the inventions, ideas, and movements created and started by Black people even while they faced incredible amounts of adversity. We will be reading culturally competent and age-appropriate books to help us start up some conversation about Black achievement. We have added a Black History art wall with relevant and famous art pieces! We will also have some discussions about black inventors and historical figures to start exposing our scholars to these critical conversations.

Looking forward to celebrating and honoring Black and African American success and achievements.

Parents if you would like to bring in any historic artwork or anything relative to Black history month please reach out we would LOVE to display it.
